Officials of the National ‎Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have appealed to state governments who are yet to establish disaster control agencies to do so without further delay.

The latest appeal came from the Deputy Director in charge of Planning, Research and Forecasting, Mr Kayode Fagbemi.

This is part of ways of controlling the rate of disasters at the grassroots level.

He promised strong collaboration with state governments and communities in disaster management.
