The Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr Tanko Al-Makura, on Monday appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Army towards ensuring peace and stability in the state, especially during communal crisis.

He extended the appreciation when he received a delegation from the Nigerian Army resource centre in Abuja.

The delegation were on an assessment tour of the ongoing Command Secondary in Lafia Local Government Area.

Leader of the delegation, Maj Gen JSG Hamakim, commended the bold step taken by the governor in entering into a partnership with the Nigerian Army to improve the standard of education of the state.

Governor Al-Makura expressed hope that the school, if completed, will add value to the quality of education of the state.
