The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a middle-aged man, identified as Oyediran Oladipupo, for allegedly forcing his way into the premises of a first generation bank.

The suspect was reported to have vandalized property, before men of the Nigerian Police from the Sango-Otta Area Command, got him arrested and eventually whisked him away to their station in Sango.

The incident caused pandemonium among residents of the area, and also made customers who thronged the bank for different transactions to scamper for safety in order to avoid being caught in the commotion.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the suspect told the Police that he was sent by his god to vandalise vehicles within the bank premises, as well as to also break the glass doors of the bank.
