Odinga, who was the PM of the East African country from 2008 to 2013, expressed his delight over the release of the girls in a tweet on Monday.
After a long journey to Israel, i awoke to news that the Chibok girls of Nigeria have finally been brought back home. Praise the Lord!

The release of the girls on Saturday received global coverage and has been celebrated by people across the world.
It also came the same day that “A Murmuration for Chibok”, composed by Joan La Barbara, was performed by the Young People’s Chorus of New York at the Brooklyn Museum.

Some however questioned the process leading to their release, insisting it had political undertones.
But lawyer and human rights activist, Festus Keyamo, faulted such views.
When u see pple who should be patriots downplay d release of Chibok girls, u realise that d issue is not about humanity. It’s about politics

The former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, shared a similar view.
We are so divided to an extend that some prefer the chibok girls remain in captivity so that PMB never gets credit for their release-SHAME!
