The Edo State Government says the state will from September 2017, commence the use of computers and tablets for teaching students, as part of measures to improve the educational standard of public schools.
The State Governor, Godwin Obaseki made the promise while delivering his speech at the children’s day celebration at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The state government also launched the Child Rights Act sensitisation book which according to them would be distributed to all students in schools across the state, free of charge.
The government believes this would help to sensitise students against human trafficking and other forms of child abuse.
