National Assembly Mourns Flood VictimsA group known as Alternative to Corruption and Mis-Governance has called on the National Assembly to urgently pass the various anti-corruption bills pending before it.

The group is also asking Nigerians to join the President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government’s anti-corruption war aimed at repositioning the country to economic recovery.

At a news conference in Kaduna state, the coordinator of the group, Steve Daniel noted that the bills, if passed into law, will enhance the fight against corruption.

He also called on the Presidency to remain focused in the anti-graft war and never succumb to the blackmail of removing the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as being demanded by the National Assembly.

The group also disagreed with allegations by some quarters that the anti-corruption war of the EFCC is lopsided but however insists that those who are innocent of the crime should not be afraid.
