The state government confirmed this in a statement from the Nasarawa State Ministry of Health and obtained by Channels Television in Lafia, the state capital.

According to the statement signed by the ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Musa Abdullahi, the 38 persons are in a stable condition and are receiving adequate treatment.

The incident has prompted the state government to deploy a team of medical personnel in the area to commence the distribution of drugs to the people.
