Suspected bandits have killed at least 13 people, injuring several others from three communities in Kankara and Danmusa Local Government Areas of Katsina State.

The bandits who ransacked Maidabino, Unguwar Rabo and Unguwar areas of the state on Wednesday shot and injured several people in the process.

A resident of one of the affected communities, Yusuf Tukur, told Channels Television that 10 bodies were brought for funeral prayer at the premises of the Katsina Emirate Council for mass burial.

The Police Command PPRO SP, Gambo Isah also confirmed the incident said via a telephone.

He said 11 people were killed in Kankara and two persons killed in Maidabino Village of Danmusa LGA.
