Bauchi State Governor, Bala Muhammad, has approved the constitution of a committee to recover government properties and funds in the state.
The governor’s spokesperson, Dr Ladan Salihu, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, a copy of which was sent to Channels Television on Wednesday.
Governor Muhammad appointed Senator Isa Misau as the chairman of the committee which has 16 others as members.

He asked the team to recover funds found to have been overcharged and paid to companies handling contracts awarded by the state government, through all legally acceptable means.
The committee was also asked to consider and review all land allocations carried out by the previous administrations from May 2007 to May 2019, ‘without following the due process”.
Governor Muhammad gave the team three months from the date of inauguration to submit its report.
