The spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, Gambo Isah, is among the six senior police officers serving in the State that have recently been promoted to various ranks by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali.
Isah along with three other police officers namely; Aliyu Sale, Iliyasu Usman Bugaje, and Peter Daniel, was promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

The other two senior officers were promoted to the ranks of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). They are DCP Ibrahim Abdul and ACP Musa Hamza Yusfari
The decoration ceremony held on Tuesday at the Police Officers Mess, Kangiwa Road, GRA Katsina had in attendance, various heads of security agencies in the State.
They include the State Comptroller of Immigration, State Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) as well as that of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) among other senior police officers, families, and well-wishers of the promoted.

In his address during the ceremony, the Acting State Commissioner of Police, Katsina Command, DCP Shettima Mohammed, thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali, and the Police Service Commission for considering officers of the Katsina Police Command in the promotion exercise.

He recalled that over 200 police officers were promoted to various ranks across the country, reminding them that promotion means additional responsibility.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, DCP Ibrahim Abdul described the promotion as well deserved, pledging to do more in service to the fatherland.
He also promised to consider the promotion as a good gesture, pledging to reciprocate it through hard work and diligence to duty.
