The Plateau State Government has further relaxed the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis as residents are now permitted to move freely for their lawful activities from 12 noon to 6 pm daily until further notice.

In a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs Gyang Bere,  the relaxation takes effect from Thursday after Governor Caleb Mutfwang in consultation with security agencies, reviewed the security situation in the affected areas.

Governor Mutfwang commended the public for their peaceful conduct during the curfew, and appealed for continued cooperation with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the state.

This is as reports of violence and lootings were reported in some northern states during the national hunger and hardship protests.
