A former Head of State Yakubu Gowon has raised concern over the rising insecurity in northern Nigeria.

Gowon raised fears about the development when members of the League of Northern Democrats (LND) visited him in Abuja on Wednesday.

The LND was led by a former governor of Kano State Ibrahim Shekarau.
