FRSC Seeks Police Support To Curb Traffic Offences During Yuletide Season

As the yuletide season approaches, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kebbi State Sector Command, has sought the support of the Nigeria Police Force to curb traffic offences, with a particular focus on overloading, overspeeding, and reckless driving, which often result in loss of lives and properties.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Abubakar.

According to the statement, the Sector Commander of the FRSC, during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State, Sani Bello, emphasized the need for synergy between the two agencies.

The Sector Commander stated that the visit was to formally introduce himself and seek the cooperation of the police to organize a joint special patrol during the festive period.

He further noted that adequate public enlightenment would precede the patrol to remind road users of traffic regulations and their responsibilities.

Additionally, the commander urged the public to utilize the FRSC’s toll-free line, 122, in case of emergencies or accidents for prompt response.

In his response, Bello reiterated the importance of collaboration between security agencies to address criminal activities and ensure public safety. He assured the Sector Commander of his commitment to fostering a robust partnership to create a secure environment in Kebbi State.
