Governor Mohammed Donates 300 Saudi Riyal To Each Bauchi Pilgrim

The governor also urged the pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, particularly for peace, good governance, and sincerity in political leadership.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has donated 300 Saudi Riyal, equivalent to approximately 124,000 naira, to each of the over 2,000 pilgrims from Bauchi State currently performing the 2025 Hajj.

Governor Mohammed made the announcement during a visit to the Bauchi State pilgrims’ camp in Mina, Saudi Arabia, where he checked on the pilgrims’ wellbeing.

“I know you have endured a lot over the past few days while performing the Hajj rites, so I am donating 300 Riyal to each of you,” he said.

The governor also urged the pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, particularly for peace, good governance, and sincerity in political leadership.

“We urge you to pray for our country and for peace to reign. Pray against deceitful politics and for sincerity in leadership. Saudi Arabia has demonstrated what good governance can achieve by organizing a successful Hajj. We believe Nigeria can reach such heights. We are doing our best to deliver good governance and hope to do more,” he added.

Governor Mohammed further requested prayers for Bauchi State, especially for security and peaceful coexistence.

He also commended the state officials for ensuring a smooth exercise and praised the pilgrims for their good conduct.

During the visit, he also extended his condolences to the pilgrims and the people of Bauchi State over the death of a pilgrim from Ganjuwa Local Government Area, who passed away on the Day of Arafah.
