President Bola Tinubu bidding farewell to former President Muhammadu Buhari at the former leader’s funeral in Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
President Bola Tinubu, family, friends and political associates of former President Muhammadu Buhari gathered in Katsina State on Tuesday to pay their last respect to the former military and civilian leader.
His remains arrived at the Katsina Airport in Nigeria from London at about 1:59 pm on Tuesday, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and some family members of the late former president.
President Bola Tinubu led a high-powered government delegation that received the body in Katsina, the state capital.
The body was, thereafter, taken to Daura, the ex-president’s hometown, where it was buried.
