The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has debunked a purported recruitment invitation by the agency, describing it as false, misleading, and a calculated attempt to defraud members of the public.
The notice allegedly invited candidates for a technical and practical screening exercise purportedly scheduled to take place at the Kainji Hydropower Station, New Bussa, Niger State.
In a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Affairs of the Commission, Nura Tanko, N-HYPPADEC clarified that the invitation did not originate from the Commission, stressing that no recruitment exercise is currently ongoing.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the said invitation did not emanate from N-HYPPADEC. The Commission is not conducting any recruitment or screening exercise at this time,” the statement read.
The Commission warned members of the public to disregard the fraudulent message and urged prospective applicants to always verify information through official N-HYPPADEC communication channels before taking any action.
N-HYPPADEC advised Nigerians to remain vigilant and report suspicious recruitment claims to relevant authorities to prevent falling victim to scammers.
