Community leader Otumara Jude Ojo has claimed that gunshots and teargas were fired at protesters who demonstrated against demolitions in Makoko and other communities in Lagos on Wednesday.
Ojo made the claim during an interview with Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday, describing the event as “a very big disappointment on the part of our government.”
He said that it was only after three hours of their arrival that lawmakers came to meet them, yet they were not granted entry into the Assembly complex.
