A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bosun Oyintiloye, has described his alleged suspension by the suspended chairman of Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area, Gbenga Fagbamila, and 18 others as a ruse.
The APC chieftain was reportedly suspended from the party for gross misconduct.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the state assembly, while reacting to the alleged suspension, said that those who signed the suspension letter were themselves suspended members of the APC working for the opposition party in the state.
He said the allegations concerning the unauthorized takeover of the Executive Assistant (EA) slot and the accompanying funds amounting to N5.6 million were aimed at discrediting him.
Oyintiloye clarified that he was not in charge of the said EA and did not have access to the funds in question.

He added that he has reported the disgruntled members who issued the statement to the party leadership in the state, noting that they were only seeking cheap relevance.
According to him, the alleged misconduct leveled against him was “a lie from the pit of hell,” adding that he has been a loyal and respectful member of the party since its inception.
He said: “If they truly have the power to suspend me, why can’t they wait to do so through the proper party executive channels before going to the press?
“The same Gbenga Fagbamila, who was suspended from the party for embezzling N7.5 million meant for the 2022 election, is signing my alleged suspension letter alongside other disgruntled members.”
“It is a real shame. If they are truly bona fide members of the party, let them appear before the party executives at the state level to defend the allegations leveled against me.”
He noted that the alleged suspension is a joke of the century, insisting that all the allegations in the letter were lies and cannot be substantiated.
Oyintiloye insisted that he remained one of the most respected members of the party and would continue to play his role as one of the strong pillars of APC in the state.
