The Nigerian Christian Civil Chaplain Corps (NCCC) has received official recognition from the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.

The faith-based, non-combatant body engaged in chaplaincy services, humanitarian outreach, and initiatives aimed at promoting national unity, peace, and moral development across Nigeria.

In a formal letter dated 16 February 2026, the Ministry confirmed that the NCCC is duly registered and recognised on the National Youth Organisation Register as a Youth Serving Organisation. 

The recognition affirms the Corps’ contributions to peace-building, moral discipline, and humanitarian services through chaplaincy and community-based initiatives across Nigeria.

The Ministry further noted that the organisation is expected to continue implementing programs that support youth development and national growth, while maintaining collaboration with relevant government structures.

The recognition follows several years of consistent engagement by the Corps in promoting national unity, moral values, and support for security-conscious initiatives through spiritual and humanitarian efforts. 

Reacting to the development, the Corps Commanding Officer, Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi, expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and members of the press for their continued support and coverage.

He commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating an enabling environment that allows young people and patriotic citizens to contribute meaningfully to national development.

According to him, the recognition demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusiveness and support for initiatives that promote peace, unity, and national progress.

Chaplain Daniel also expressed gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, acknowledging his dedication, leadership, and service in advancing youth-focused initiatives and strengthening institutional collaboration.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Christian Civil Chaplain Corps to its core objectives, including promoting moral discipline, fostering unity, and supporting national peace and security efforts through structured chaplaincy and outreach programs.

The Corps Commanding Officer also offered prayers for the President, the Presidency, and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, expressing hope for continued wisdom, strength, and success in leadership and governance.

He emphasised that national transformation requires collective responsibility, moral commitment, and sustained collaboration between government institutions and responsible organisations.
