Four newly promoted senior officers of the Nigerian Army have been charged to uphold discipline, loyalty and exemplary leadership following their elevation to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
The Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Ondo State, Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi, gave the charge during a decoration ceremony held at the Owena Cantonment Officers’ Mess in Akure, where the officers were formally adorned with their new ranks.
Brigadier General Ifeanyi described the occasion as a milestone for both the officers and the brigade, noting that the promotions reflected years of hard work, resilience and dedication to duty.
He emphasised that the new rank comes with greater responsibilities and expectations, urging the officers to remain committed to the core values of the Nigerian Army.

According to him, the promotion is not only a reward for past efforts but also a call to greater service. He encouraged the officers to lead by example in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Lieutenant Colonel Awete Ornan expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and the leadership of the Nigerian Army for the confidence reposed in them.
He reaffirmed their commitment to serving the military and the nation with integrity and dedication.
The newly decorated officers are Lieutenant Colonels A. Ornan, B.G. Oyinloye, I.N. Badamasi and E. Agboola.
