Two people have been confirmed dead and five others injured after a truck heavily loaded with sachet water, popularly known as pure water, crashed into a butcher market in Isheri area of Igando, LASU-Iba Road in Lagos.
The truck was said to have been towed away before Channels Television arrived at the scene of the incident.
The Chairman of the butchers market, who confirmed the deaths, said that the cause of the fatal accident was probably due to the truck having a break failure.
“We lost two people as the truck deviated to the side of our market.”
He also said that owing to the deaths, the market would be closed for now.
