The spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Manzo Ezekiel, told Channels Television that the people were asked to leave Cameroon for not possessing valid papers that would have enabled them stay in the country.

The NEMA spokesman stressed that the Nigerians were victims of insurgency in the Northeast and had crossed to Cameroon to escape the attacks by Boko Haram.

Mr Ezekiel explained that NEMA plans to transport the displaced people to Yola, Adamawa State capital, and resettle them at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camps after the screening and profiling.
