Governor Al-Makura made the call on Wednesday immediately after the tribunal delivered its judgement, dismissing the petition filed by Mr Labaran Maku, challenging the election of the Governor.
Mr Maku, who was represented at the tribunal by his running mate, Ibrahim Abu, said that he would challenge the judgement which dismissed the petition on technical grounds.
Lafia, the state capital, went agog in celebration when the Governor’s election was upheld by the tribunal, prompting security apparatus to mobilize for both terrestrial and air surveillance to keep the peace.
