As the 2015 general elections draw nearer, achieving credible polls in the country may be dependent on the introduction of a digital electoral process.

A Councillor from the Kenyan Embassy, Mr. Michael Miriti, noted that though the use of biometrics in the just-concluded Kenyan presidential elections was not hitch free, it still contributed to the success of the exercise.
He pointed out that electoral reforms could not be complete without the complete transformation of the electoral institutions and the fine-tuning of the process to match modern standards.
Other speakers argued that the country must invest in modern technology to break the cycle of manually operated electoral process which will in turn break the vicious cycle of rigging.
