President Goodluck Jonathan has said that his administration will continue to tap into the potentials of Nigerian women in the transformation agenda of the government.

President Jonathan disclosed this on Wednesday night at a dinner he hosted to honour the female members of his cabinet in the presidential villa, Abuja.

The occasion attracted other prominent women leaders including the Malawian President, Joyce Banda and the President of Liberia Ellen Sirlief Johnson.

At the last count there are at least 16 ministers in President Jonathan’s cabinet and several other senior advisers, the highest ever in the history of Nigeria.

To honour them for a job well done at least in the mid-term, the president invited prominent Nigerians from home and abroad, some of them captains of industries to a very colourful dinner.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Ayim Pius told the guests at the dinner that it is in line with the president’s vision of inclusiveness, empowerment and development.

Highlight of the occasion was the launch of a book – Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Champion for Women. The 321 page table document was reviewed by George Obiozor.
