A four man armed robbery gang on Friday invaded the office of the governor of Ogun state, located at Oke Mosan area of the state.
The robbers allegedly made their way into the entrance gate of the office as they tried to snatch a vehicle from its owner.
A gun battle ensued with the police officers on duty and one of the robbers was killed, while others escaped with gun wounds.
Commenting on the attempted robbery, the state governor, Mr. Ibikunle amosun described it as unfortunate but he was quick to assure residents of adequate security in the face of the security challenges facing the state.
