Award winning dance music crooner Irikefe Obareki popularly known as Kefee has released a new music video and yet another new song.
The Korkoroko singer who has been on a tour to America and Canada teamed up with director Nodash to make a music video for her new single ‘Dan Maliyo’ featuring Ghanaian songstress Becca.
Kefee started her singing career in the children’s choir at the age of eight and moved to the adult choir when she was fifteen.
In December 2003 she signed on with Alec Music and released her first solo album as a female artiste. Kefee’s “BRANAMA” sold nine hundred thousand audio cassettes and over two million copies of CDs/VCDs in six months.
The album “BRANAMA” won her several awards which includes TOMA Awards, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Youth Excellence Awards amongst others.
In 2005 she released the sophomore album “Branama 2” which featured Nigeria’s top acts like Paul Plary Dairo, Sunny Neji, Pastor Goody Goody, Sound Sultan, 2shots, S.I.D, Gordons, Recky D, Rymzo. This album got her nominated for the Best African Traditional Artiste at the KORA Awards in South Africa 2005, and she eventually won the highly coveted Prize.
She has topped the new video with a new track “Beautiful”.
