The 13th edition of the West African University Games (WAGU) have ended in Ilorin the Kwara state capital with the University of Port Harcourt winning the event, amassing 48 gold medals, 26 silver and 19 bronze.
The University of Benin finished second with 9 gold 5 silver and 9 bronze medals while Benson Idahosa University, Benin city occupied the third spot with 8 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
University of Lagos took 6 gold, 12 silver and 6 bronze medals to place 4th on the log.
Federal University of Technology Akure, claimed 6 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals to place 5th and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria amassed 6 gold, 1 silver and 13 bronze medals to finish 6th.
The host, University of Ilorin finished in 10th position with 3 gold, 5 silver and 17 bronze medals.
