The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has forecast on economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa to reach 5.8 percent this year from 4.8 percent in 2012.
This is however likely to drop to 5.7 percent in 2014.
The predictions are contained in the funds latest World Economic Outlook.
Global growth is forecast to be 3.5 percent in 2013 from 3.2 percent in 2012.
Emerging markets and developing countries are expected to fuel the growth.
