
The Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, who during the Meeting of Africa Regional Working Group of Experts on Inter-Governmental Committee for Physical Education Committee at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja said that there have been serious talks between the NFF and Aminu Maigari towards reclaiming the seat.
“Our position is very clear on this issue; we have a candidate in the person of Aminu Maigari. He has our full support and we been holding several meetings to get him on board.
“It is our hope that he will be successful, but you know that for politics at that level, there are different dynamics that come in,” Abdullahi said.
The CAF Executive Committee seat in contention was last occupied by another Nigerian, Amos Adamu, who due to involvement in a bribery scandal was dismissed.
