Bayern Munich dismantled a shell shocked Barcelona at the Nou Camp to book an all-German Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on May 25.
Barca needed a miracle to overturn a four-goal deficit after last week’s first-leg hammering in Munich, but that was never going to happen from the moment boss Tito Vilanova left Lionel Messi on the bench again due to a hamstring problem.
The Bundesliga champions were in control throughout and second-half goals from Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller, plus a Gerard Pique own goal, ensured Barca were not only beaten, but embarrassed.
Bayern Munich pulled off a stunning 3-0 victory over Barcelona to complete a record Champions League semi-final aggregate win.
Arjen Robben cut in from the right and found the top corner to open the scoring shortly after half-time.
Gerard Pique turned Franck Ribery’s cross into his own net before Thomas Mueller headed in at the far post to complete the 7-0 aggregate rout.
The final is at Wembley on 25 May.
More to come…….
