Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini admits it is difficult for the blues to keep fully focused on their Premier League run-in ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup final against Wigan.

City’s quest to cement second place in the table continues this evening when they host West Brom, three days after they had to settle for a point at Swansea.

Following the goalless draw with the swans, Mancini expressed his frustration at how his players had failed to make the most of their opportunities during the game.

Mancini has emphasized that it is far from ideal to have to play four days before a cup final, but acknowledged that Wigan  who host Swansea tonight  are in the same boat.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked Manager Dean Saunders after the club’s relegation to league one.

Saunders left Doncaster Rovers and took over at Molineux in January, but the West Midlands club has suffered consecutive relegations after losing their Premier League status in 2012.

The club lost their championship status on a dramatic final day last Saturday after being beaten 2-0 by Brighton.

Wolves have become the first team since Swindon in 1995 to suffer back-to-back relegations from the top flight.
