A party chieftain made this disclosure during a conference held in Kaduna with a determination to capture the entire region from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing members of the party during a national conference organized by the Movement for a Better Future and Democratic Emancipation Movement in Kaduna on Saturday, a former governor of Kano state and a chieftain of the party, Ibrahim Shekarau identified the lack of credible people in leadership positions as being responsible for the various problems the country is facing.
Shekarau, who said APC was out to take over power from the PDP due to its acceptability by the masses, also stressed that not even Vice President Namadi Sambo can stop the party from capturing the north west zone where he comes from and the entire north in general.
According to him, any government that fail to provide security and other basic amenities for its citizens has no moral ground to continue being in power and therefore charged the electorate to yearn for a change in leadership of the country.
