Fayemi was speaking at a rally organized by the unions, asking the governor to re-contest for the second term in office come 2014 in what was like a carnival in Ado Ekiti as the saw millers and timbers traders stormed the office of the governor.
The governor has vowed that his administration will not relent in protecting forest resources in the state and use the law to curb illegal timber traders.
He also noted that the saw millers and timbers traders contribute in no small measure to the internally generated revenue of the state.
The chairman of the union, Francis Adebayo in his speech explained that all efforts to see the previous administration so they can present their needs have proved abortive.
He however charged his members to come together so they can collectively support the governor.
The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Eniola Ajayi said the state government is already discussing with the bank of industry (BOI) to enable the unions access loans so they can improve business.
