The Acting National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tom Ikimi says it is untrue, the claims by human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo that he has been adopted through a consensus by the legacy parties that make up the APC as the senatorial candidate of election into Delta Central District that is yet to be declared vacant.

Ikimi who was speaking in Benin City said that neither the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nor the Senate has declared the seat vacant following the death of Senator Pius Ewherido.

Chief Ikimi explained that the organ of APC in Delta state at the moment is the Interim National Executive committee and the party is still in the process of putting in place state harmonising committees there.
