The Senior Special Assistant to President Jonathan on public affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe says the position of Senator Tinubu on the conference does not represent the views of majority of Yoruba people in the south west.
Okupe was reacting to the recent comment by the leader of the All Progressives’ Congress, Senator Bola Tinubu on the conference, that the national conference being planned by President Jonathan is ill-timed.
Speaking in Abuja at a news conference, Okupe advised members of the opposition to be realistic by giving credit to the present administration without denigrating the office and person of the president.
The APC Leader on his arrival at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos after having spent several weeks abroad for medical attention said the constitution of a committee on the National Dialogue by President Jonathan is a contradiction and display of dishonesty.
