The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mr Gbenga Elegbeleye has assured Nigerians that the nation will put up a better outing in the 2016 Olympics.

Speaking in Abuja, at the finals of the second Chika Chukwumerije International Taekwondo Open, where talents were exhibited, Mr Elegbeleye says developmental programmes are being put in place to ensure a successful outing at the games.

He commended the organiser of the international taekwondo open for being able to attract participants from across Africa and Nigeria.

The D.G., NSC promised to introduce programmes that will produce future champions, while the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Choi Jung-Hyun pledged to support the development of taekwondo in Nigeria.
