The Chairman of Southeast Governor’s Forum, Governor Theodore Orji has urged all Nigerians to pursue peace and shun any agenda or actions that would hamper Nigeria’s corporate existence as a Nation.

Orji was speaking to journalists in Umuahia on the recent attack on the convoy of the Senate President, David Mark, on his way to a burial in Imo State, Southeast Nigeria, describing it as “an unfortunate incident that should be thoroughly investigated by the security agencies”.

Governor Orji stressed that such attacks should be avoided “especially now that the 2015 election is around the corner”.

The Senate President was attacked on Friday on his was to the burial ceremony of late business mogul, Sir John Richard Anyaehie in Nkwerre Community in Imo State.

No life was lost in the attack.
