A statement issued by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations ,Colonel Sani Usman said all kinds of vehicular movement are banned in the entire state from 5.00pm Friday till 7.00am on Monday.

He urged members of the public to perform their Eid prayers at praying grounds nearest to their homes.

According to him , the embargo is necessary following intelligence reports that the Boko Haram have perfected plans to launch multiple bomb explosions in Maiduguri metropolis and other major towns across Borno state during the Eid.

He said their main targets are believed to include Sallah praying grounds, markets and other public places.

The statement also calls on members of the public to report any suspicious movement of persons or vehicles around their environment to the nearest security agencies.
