The Platform holds in AbujaSpeakers at the Platform event have stressed the need for the Nigerian government to create an enabling environment for all Nigerians to thrive in their various endeavours.

The event holding in Abuja had in attendance, government officials, entrepreneurs and church leaders across Nigeria.

Mr Tonye Cole stressed the need for Nigerians to also realise that individuals make up the government and the nation. He urged Nigerians to ensure that they promote the image of the nation wherever they are.

“The question everyone must ask is; what role must I play? Every one of us has a role to play. We have to act and we must act now. We all have our zone of influence, some local, others international or global.

“In my travel around the world, I tell the story about the part of Nigeria they never see,” he said.

Other speakers stressed the need for a level playing field in Nigeria, taking off tribalism.

This edition of the Platform, holding for the first time outside the nation’s commercial city, Lagos, addressed the ‘Relationships Between Business and Governance’.

Other speakers at the event are Pastor Poju Oyemade, Segun Adeniyi, Ibukun Awosika, Leke Alder and Nigeria’s Vice President-elect Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

The Platform is a non-profit initiative of the Covenant Christian Centre designed to facilitate growth in the areas of personal capacities and productivity as well as foster national development, within Nigeria.

The event has featured about 42 speakers since inception and can boast of about 20,000 online community membership, while a combined 25000 live audience since inception has attended the platform event.
