As the world marks the May Day, workers in Rivers State joined their allies around the world to celebrate.
The event was marked by the routine march pasts by various members of the two umbrella unions of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
Some of the members used the occasion to display placards to register their concerns over welfare issues in the state.
The Rivers State Governor, represented by the Head of Service, Samuel LongJohn, assured the workers that their pleas will get to his boss.
