The Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha says the desired dividends of democracy is well guaranteed for the people of Imo state with the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the centre of government.
Governor Okorocha stated this at the INEC office along Port Harcourt road in Owerri the Imo state capital south east Nigeria, where he received his certificate of rerun as the winner of the just concluded governorship elections in the state.
Upon collection of his Certificate of Return, The Governor commended INEC, security operatives and all stakeholders for seeing to the success of the elections in the state.
He however called on the President Elect to ensure that all persons who were arrested for one electoral offense or the other must not go unpunished so it can serve as deterrent to others in subsequent elections.
The Governor who received the certificate alongside his Deputy Eze Madumere was also accompanied by his wife Mrs Nkechinyere Okorocha, his Chief of Staff, Jude Ejiogu, the Secretary to the State Government, Anthony Anwuka and other top functionaries of Imo state government as well as APC Chieftains in the state.
