NSCDCThe immediate past Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Dr. Ade Abolurin, has advised officers and men of the Corp to maintain a high standard of integrity and avoid any form of corrupt practices in the discharge of their duties.

Dr. Abolurin, who gave the advice in Abuja while handing over the affairs of the NSCDC to the newly appointed Commandant-General, Mr Abdullahi Muhammadu, said that Nigeria needs honest and diligent men to fast track the development of the nation.

He added that having inherited a work force of 9,000 personnel, he was leaving a highly motivated workforce of 59,000 personnel who remain committed to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure and assets.

NSCDC is a paramilitary agency of the government of Nigeria that is commissioned to provide measures against threat and any form of attack or disaster against the nation and its citizenry.

The corps is statutorily empowered to lay Act No. 2 of 2003 and amended by Act 6 of June 4, 2007.
