The Acting Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr Babatunde Fowler, has resumed office, with a promise to stop tax evasion and improve revenue generation.
Mr Fowler, whose appointment is subject to confirmation of the Senate, said no country could succeed by ignoring taxation.
He promised to meet with the chairmen of State Revenue Services across Nigeria to chat a new course for revenue collections.
The FIRS boss is a former chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service.
He was appointed by President Muhamadu Buhari last week as Acting Chairman of the Agency.
