Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has asked the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Timipre Sylva to concede defeat.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Mr Dickson said results of the December 5 poll clearly showed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the lead.
He told reporters that he expects less military presence during the January 9 election in Southern Ijaw Local Government.
Mr Sylva had earlier demanded that INEC should swear him in as the elected governor, and threatened to go to court if the electoral umpire failed to do so.
