The draw ceremony for the Channels National Kids Cup, Lagos Preliminaries has been concluded with the 32 schools cleared by the technical committee.
Two match venues, Campos Square and Onikan Stadium will host games in the three-day event which the organizers have confirmed will be done on knock-out basis.
Onikan Stadium will host group A and C games while matches in group B and D will be played at Campus Square.
Last year’s finalist, Uncle Bayus Nursery & Primary School, Ikorodu will compete from group A and will clash with New Hall International School in their first match.
The other group A fixtures have Helpers International School, Iganmu going against Donmen Schools, Ajegunle. Christ Assembly will play Revival Private School while National Nursery and Primary School will fight for a place in the next round against St. Joseph Primary School, Agege.
In group B, last year’s semi finalist, St. Paul Anglican School, will face Bols School from Ipaja, Fountain School. Surulere and Issacville from Ketu will also be in action.
Still on Group B, Catony Royal Schools, Ibeju-Lekki will compete against the kids from Rockford, Ikorodu while Al-Farouq International School will play Mass-Mas School from Mile 12.
In Group C, last year’s Lagos representatives, Daemm Schools, Daleko will take on Command Children’s School, Ojo in their opening game while Inner-City Mission Nursery and Primary School, Oregun will play St. Francis, Maryland in the group’s second game.
More group C fixtures will see Supreme Education Foundation, Magodo trade tackles with Darman Foundation School, Ifako while last year’s participants, Excel Immaculate will play Straight Gate School, Magodo GRA.
Group D opening action will be between Community Primary School, Abule-Egba and TBC Kiddies Nursery and Primary school.
In the other games, Toydam Children’s School from Gbagada will play Great Trust Basic Academy, Apapa. Right after that game, Maryland Convent and Christlead Primary School will take over the pitch. The group’s final game is between Lyncrest Schools, Ikorodu and Green Haven at the Campos Square.
The Lagos preliminaries will begin on Tuesday, April 19 and run till April 22.
