Community PartnershipAnambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has announced that each of the 177 communities in Anambra State will benefit from developmental project worth nothing less than 20 million Naira.

He disclosed this at Okija, in Ihiala Local Government Area, where he commissioned an ultra-modern hall built for Union Secondary School, Okija, by a philanthropist, Dr. Paul Erinne.

He explained that the decision was aimed at ensuring that no community is left behind in the development agenda of the present administration.

He also stated that community partnership with the government in improving critical sectors will help reposition the state for the better.

He commended Okija people for their desire to support government as well as promote their community to an enviable height.

The Governor also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Jesuit Secondary School, another project embarked on by Okija citizens.

The Governor hailed the people of Okija for their passion towards the development of their community and assured them of his commitment to supporting any community that will partner the state to develop critical sectors.

The principal of the school commended the State Government for their contribution towards the growth of the school but pointed out the challenges of accommodation and erosion.

Governor Obiano admonished other well-meaning citizens to take a cue from Okija people to promote and develop their communities as well as invest in the future of the children of the state for a better, greater and prosperous Anambra.
