Three persons including a former Head of Service in Plateau State have been killed by gunmen in the state.
The spokesman for Operation Safe Haven, Captain Umar Adamu, confirmed on Wednesday that they were killed in an attack on a retail store at Wereh village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.
Captain Adamu said the assailants stormed the shop when the former Head of Service, Da Moses Gwom, and some military personnel were shopping and opened fire, killing the customers and the shop attendant.
Meanwhile, a group of women in Miango district of Bassa Local Government protested against the incessant attacks on their community.
The angry women of Kpuchudu Youth Association who dressed in black attire said the attacks have claimed many lives and property, despite the presence of security personnel in the area.
