Forty-one children were among the 64 people killed in a fire that ripped through a shopping mall in the Siberian city of Kemerovo at the weekend, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported Tuesday.
“There are names of 41 children in the list of those who died,” RIA Novosti quoted a source in the regional emergencies services as saying.
Images on Russian television showed thick black smoke pouring out of the Winter Cherry shopping centre, which also houses a sauna, a bowling alley and a multiplex cinema and was packed with people on Sunday afternoon.
