The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Dapo Abiodun as the winner of the party’s governorship primaries in Ogun State.

According to a statement signed on Friday by the acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, Abiodun won the primary after scoring 102,305 votes.

Abiodun defeated his close rival Jimi Lawal who had 51,153 and Bimbo Ashiru who had 29, 764 votes.

Others include Kunle Akinlade with 23, 443 votes, Senator Adegbenga Kaka with 17, 771 and Abayomi Semako Koroto, 9, 610 votes.

The statement by the acting APC national secretary clears controversy which has earlier trailed the Ogun Governorship primary.

Two parallel governorship primaries by Ogun APC and NWC primary committee in the state had earlier produced Kunle Akinlabi and Dapo Abiodun as the winner of the primaries.
